Notes:
The next question is, if bees do visit a number of flowers, how will seeds per
pod change?
To estimate how much seed set is affected we had to emulate bees again with
hand pollination.
We pollinated 20 flowers in succession on a single plant, up to two per
raceme, and removed all other buds and flowers from the raceme. We marked the
raceme with different colored threads to indicate pollination order. When pods
were mature we collected and counted the seeds.
