Prototype Cleaning Machine
for Binderboard®
Photos of a prototype machine for cleaning leafcutting bee Binderboard®. The machine will be light enough to transport easily between farms, and simple enough to repair with parts from your local hardware or tractor store..
We now have a functional machine for harvesting cocoons from Osmia Binderboard®. It is operated by hand, and cleans 7 grooves at once. See photo below. Contact us for further information.

No disinfection function in this prototype.
Close-up: one page of laminates open, combs positioned
to strip bee cells.
When complete, nozzles will spray disinfectant on to laminates and cells
as cells are stripped.

Table top prototype machine for harvesting Osmia cocoons. The machine is not yet available commercially, but we have successfully used it to harvest cocoons for 2006. Anyone considering managing a large number of nest tunnels can contact us for details.
